The Muscogee (Creek) Nation named three citizens as its 2026 Living Legends: Sandy Fife Wilson, Irene Culley and Pearl Thomas.

The Nation also named Bobby Martin, Richard Whitman and Sterlin Harjo as this year’s recipients of the Chief’s Choice Award, which began in 2024.

The honorees were to be recognized Thursday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, with a meal following. The ceremony, open to the public, was part of the 50th Muscogee Nation Festival.
